The Saffron-based Smile menu

After the first two successful editions, the Smile menu: when wellbeing starts from the plate, and it does so on 7 October on the occasion of the World Smile Day.
Two great certainties and two novelties for this third edition: Zafferano 3 Cuochi, and Centro Diagnostico Italiano - CDI pursue the desire to offer dishes designed to enhance the benefits of simple raw materials in order to create tasty dishes for a healthy lunch or dinner and rely on the hands of Chef Mauro Civiero - culinary consultant for over 30 years alongside restaurateurs - and the staff of the Mi View Restaurant - the place where traditional dishes meet a breathtaking view of Milan.
The Smile menu takes its cue from positive effects that the assumption of saffron can have on the body thanks to its recognized antioxidant properties and, according to some studies analyzed by Dr. Viviana Vecchio, nutritionist biologist of the Italian Diagnostic Center, to her lesser known antidiabetic properties And to support the metabolic syndrome in general. Properties that have been an inspiration and have helped in the study and construction of a new tasting itinerary capable of enhancing unrefined raw materials combined with 3 Cuochi Saffron.

Viviana Vecchio, nutrition biologist at the Italian Diagnostic Center, underlines: "Some experimental studies have shown that saffron has antidiabetic and antioxidant properties. For those suffering from diabetes it is a good idea to eat a complete, light meal, with first, second and abundant vegetables. These studies have highlighted how saffron and its bioactive components have a positive impact on hyperglycemia thanks to the improvement of fasting blood glucose.".

From this scientific evidence, a tasting tour of saffron-based dishesrich in beneficial properties ideal for mitigating ailments in diabetic patients, which can be savored every day for lunch from 7 to 20 October, on the 20th floor of the exclusive Mi View restaurant in collaboration with Zafferano 3 Cuochi.

Consultant chef Mauro Civiero comments: "It was a great challenge to create this menu that can also be appreciated by those suffering from diabetes, without having to deprive themselves of the satisfaction of taste. Saffron is an ingredient that combines health, well-being and taste. Alongside this spice we used raw materials that are not very refined and unusual, but easy to find, to allow everyone to replicate these healthy dishes at home. An invitation to taste saffron and to rediscover its quality and characteristics".
